Job Summary
The role of the Event Operations Manager ensures patrons are safe and well taken care of throughout their event attendance by providing stellar leadership, management, implementation and scheduling of event security, donor lounge and concessions services, and merchandise sales for all events presented at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts (ACPA). This position reports to the Director Audience Services and is responsible for providing stellar customer service for all events, clients (internal and external) and patrons while building and maintaining professional relationships with all promoters, presenters, producers, concessionaires, and merchandise vendors that use the PAC. The Event Operations Manager coordinates and collaborates closely with Event Managers and all ACPA departments to provide a high standard of service and experience to all clients and patrons.

Job Duties
Event Security
Evaluate, manage, and implement all event security needs for each event.
Act as Evolv security screening lead as required.
Train ACPA event security staff and contractor personnel to conduct screening and evacuation procedures and protocols that meet ACPA customer and security service standards.
Provide event security estimates for events to assist booking of facility.
Evaluate event security program to ensure performance and outcomes meet ACPA goals and needs.
Collect, maintain and report data on event security program.
Maintain and update event security policies and information, provide communications and training on updates as needed.
Gather and maintain information on comparable public assembly facilities’ event security programs and costs.
Donor Lounge and Concessions Services
Evaluate and manage inventory of Gregory M. Carr Family Donor Lounge.
Gather attendance lists from Director of Development and event data from CenterTix for coordinating donor and President’s Club member lounge access for all events.
Communicate event needs and opportunities to coordinate schedules and customize services with concessionaire.
Gather event data from concessionaire for reporting and collection of commissions.
Merchandise Services
Coordinate with Programming & Contracts Manager to confirm events that have contracts for merchandise.
Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and training of merchandise sellers with Business Manager.
Provide reports to settle merchandise sales per Merchandise Contract in coordination with House Manager and client representatives.
Front of House Operations
Work closely with Event Managers to identify front of house needs for all events, including security, merchandise, concessions, and donor lounge services.
Collaborate with Production Associate – Front of House for all front of house set up needs.
Industry Engagement
Attend appropriate industry conferences, trade shows and other networking and business development opportunities.
Build knowledge of event security and audience services practices
Other Duties
Work with all departments to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
Additional projects, tasks and events as assigned.
Maintain a professional work environment.
Collaborate on annual and event plans with all departments.
Assist with coordination and planning of ACPA special events and promotional activities.
Provide event support as needed or assigned.
Represent organization at community engagement activities.
Other Duties as assigned within the scope of work and abilities.
