One of our youngest resident companies is the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy (ACBA). Founded in 1997, they have been instilling the joy of classical ballet in students from as young as 16 months old all the way through adults.  

The instructors at ACBA know firsthand that dance can build character, confidence, and friendships. Not every student wants to become a professional dancer, but they all come away from ACBA with lifelong friends and memories.  

Though they have recitals at other times of the year, the true highlight for ACBA is “The Nutcracker.” Put on every year in December, it is a time for their students to show their talents, and to show their growth year over year. This year’s ACBA Nutcracker performances will be December 19 & 20.
